Because an urge doesn't last 24 hours. The delay gives the urge time to fade, without relying on your willpower or on someone close to you. The time is measured by our server: changing your phone's date does nothing. And you can cancel your request at any time.
How does NoFapp block porn?
NoFapp turns on the adult content filter built into iOS and walks you through it screen by screen. It works in Safari, in other browsers and in the web pages opened inside apps.
Can I turn the block off?
Yes, but not on a whim. If you set the lock, the filter is protected by a Screen Time passcode you never know. To get it back, you request it in the app and receive it 24 hours later. You can cancel your request whenever you want.
What if I lose access to the app?
The passcode is kept on our server and tied to your Apple account, not to your phone. We publicly commit to making passcodes available if the service ever shuts down.
