Terms of use

These terms apply to the NoFapp app, published by Antoine Fraboulet. They supplement Apple's standard licensed application end user license agreement, which applies to anything they don't cover. By using the app, you accept them.
1. The service
NoFapp helps you stop consuming pornographic content: a DNS filter on the device, a lock based on a Screen Time passcode held by us, streak tracking and a conversational character, the monk. The app is for adults only.
2. The lock and the vault
- The app draws a random four digit passcode, has you enter it in iOS settings and keeps it for you. You don't know it.
- To get it back, you request it in the app. It is given back to you twenty four hours later. You can cancel the request at any time, for free.
- Getting your passcode back is free and doesn't depend on your subscription: canceling or not renewing never deprives you of your passcode.
- You choose to turn on the lock knowingly. If you lose access to the Apple Account used to sign in, we can only find your passcode with your support number (Profile, help). Without it, the only way out is to reset the iPhone, which erases its content. This is stated in the app before the passcode is set.
- If the service were to shut down, we commit to giving your passcode back under our public commitment.
3. Filtering
The filter relies on Cloudflare's family resolver and on Apple's filter. No filter is perfect: some content may get through, and unrelated sites may be blocked by mistake. NoFapp is a help, not a guarantee.
4. The monk
- The monk is an artificial intelligence. Its replies are generated automatically, may be inaccurate, and are neither medical advice, nor psychological support, nor therapy.
- It can only be used after you agree to your messages being sent, as described in the privacy policy.
- Reasonable use applies: the number of replies per day is limited.
- Don't use it to get help in an emergency.
5. Health
NoFapp doesn't replace a health professional. If your consumption is causing you pain, talk to a doctor or a psychologist. If you have suicidal thoughts or feel in danger, call your local emergency number or a crisis line: 988 in the United States, 116 123 (Samaritans) in the United Kingdom and Ireland, or find one near you at findahelpline.com.
6. Subscription
- Some features require a monthly or yearly subscription, sold and billed by Apple. The price and duration are shown before purchase.
- If a free trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription at the end unless canceled at least twenty four hours before.
- The subscription renews automatically unless canceled at least twenty four hours before the end of the current period, in iOS Settings, your name, Subscriptions.
- Refunds are handled by Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com.
7. What you agree not to do
Get around the limits of the service, try to access someone else's vault, divert the monk from its purpose or use the app to monitor another person without their knowledge.
8. Liability
We do what is needed to keep the vault available and give your passcode back. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for content that was not filtered, nor for the consequences of a device reset decided by the user. Nothing in these terms limits the rights that consumer law gives you.
9. Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time from the app, under the conditions described in the privacy policy.
10. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. In case of a dispute, write to us first: we will look for an amicable solution. You can also turn, free of charge, to a consumer mediator or to the European online dispute resolution platform. Failing that, the competent courts are those provided by law. Mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live still apply.
